A Beautiful Fall Afternoon

Today was so beautiful! It's been cold for a little while now, but the past few days have been gorgeous. I love being able to take Connor outside so he can explore and play. When it's too cold to go outside, we get a little stir crazy because Connor just wants to walk and explore. Today he wanted to walk around and get into everything all by himself-if I tried to help him or grab his hand, he would push me away. He already has a strong and independent little personality! He also loved finding different shaped leaves and putting them in his mouth. :)

Connor's First Birthday!

Hip Hip Hooray! Connor is now one year old and Eric and I have survived our first year as parents. Connor is absolutely adorable, but he has been such a handful for us! I am really trying to enjoy each stage in his development, and I think this toddler stage is so much fun. He is walking all over the place, which means he gets into even more trouble by getting into more mischief and crashing into lots of walls. He learns more and more each day and it's so fun to watch him grow up. To celebrate his first birthday, we decided to throw him a little party. His little friends from our ward came over for pizza and cake. We gave Connor his own little cake to play in and eat, but he wanted nothing to do with it. Eric finally put his hands into the cake, and then Connor started to cry! He kept saying "mess, mess!" and was not happy until we wiped his hands off. He then opened up his presents (which cheered him up right away) and played with them and his friends.

Bryce and Jenny's Wedding

On November 1, Eric's older brother Bryce got married. He married Jenny Rhoades, a really cute girl he met in Las Vegas. They got married on the Siena golf course in Las Vegas, then they had their reception in one of the Siena's ballrooms. It was a beautiful ceremony, and Eric's dad was able to marry them and offer some words of advice. We spent most of the time trying to keep Connor quiet by feeding him treats, and he actually did very well. He also liked chasing the balls on the golf course! I also must add that he looked darn cute in his little suit and vest!
