First Steps!

Connor took his first few steps all by himself yesterday! While we were at church, Connor was being fussy so I took him out into the hall. He was crawling around on the ground and cruising around the couches like he always does, until all of a sudden, I saw him walking by himself! One minute he was hanging on to the couch, the next he was standing up and walking! He took about three steps before he tripped and fell, but he walked nonetheless. He did it a few more times at church, and then a few more times at home. I promise I will get pictures of this soon, Connor just needs to be able to stand and walk for more than a few seconds! We are so proud of him and I know he will be running around our house in no time!

A Trip to the Duck Pond...and Snow!

This week Connor and I took a trip to the duck pond. There were tons of ducks and they swarmed all around us. Connor was pretty hesitant about the ducks at first, but he eventually warmed up. He would talk really loud to the ducks when they would start quaking. We fed them some old bread we had, which made them swarm even more. One even bit my leg! It was pretty funny, actually. We also saw a duck egg that was sitting beside a tree. It was a lot of fun and Connor loved seeing the animals up close.

Snow! It snowed this morning for the first time since last winter. Connor and I watched the snow fall outside of our front window. It didn't stick, but I can't believe this weather is starting so early! It may be a long winter....

Connor absolutely loves his daddy. While Eric was preparing his Sunday School lesson, Connor had to be right there on his lap. Looks like Eric will have to finish up while Connor is taking a nap!

Conference Weekend

I thought this session of Conference was absolutely amazing. We were able to watch all four sessions, and Eric had the oppotunity of actually going to the Conference Center to watch the Priesthood session with his grandpa. We met at his grandparent's condo in Salt Lake, and as you can see, it has an amazing view of the Conference Center and Temple Square. While Eric went with his grandpa to Priesthood, I stayed at the condo with Shauna and her daughter Celeste with her three kids. We had a lot of fun hanging out and letting our kids run around together. Eric also had a great time at the Conference Center with his grandpa.

Our Silly Little Connor

Connor is so sweet, but so busy! He is always all over the place and gets into everything. As you can see from the pictures, I can't turn my back for five seconds without him doing something mischievious. Last week when I took out the garbage, I came back to find that Connor had tipped the garbage can over and was having the greatest time climbing in and out of it. Another time when I turned my back while emptying the dishwasher, Connor decided to climb into the dishwasher! The other pictures are of Connor playing peek-a-boo with this tupperware lid. He thought it was so funny to press his face up against lid and every time he did it he would laugh hysterically. It was so cute to watch!

Happy Birthday Eric!

Eric turned 24 on September 28th! His birthday was more like a birthweekend, because we celebrated his birthday starting Saturday...and ending on Monday. We started out by coming home to Las Vegas where we spent some time with both of our families. We went out to dinner Saturday night with Eric's family to a restaurant called "Del Frescos." It is one of our favorite restaurants, so it was quite a treat! Eric's actual birthday was then on Sunday, but we spent most of that day driving home to Provo. Then on Monday, we went over to our friend's house, Brandon and Kelsey, where we celebrated with them and our other friends, Riley and Jessica. We had an amazing barbeque and cake to follow! It was a lot of fun to party all weekend and celebrate Eric's big 24th birthday.

Eric and the Sonic Man

Eric had the fun opportunity of meeting and having lunch with the owner of Sonic! Our family is obsessed with Sonic (especially my side of the family, I think my mom keeps them in business with all of the Diet Coke she drinks...) so we were stoked to find out Eric would be meeting the "Sonic guy." Eric said that he gave a great lecture on how he started his business and how he keeps it thriving. Sonic originated in Nashville, TN, and I guess there are over 100 Sonic's there now! There must be one on every street corner! I was also excited that he was able to snap a picture with this guy, so here it is! The man on the right is the Sonic guy's dad.

Family Photo Shoot

This weekend while my mom was here helping me out with some things, she took a fun photo shoot of my little family. We went around to some fun places in American Fork and Pleasant Grove and shot some great pictures. Of course, right as we were getting in the car, Connor face-planted into one of our end tables and cut his nose. So hopefully that little cut doesn't show that much! We went to the Timpanogos temple where there were some beautiful flowers. We also went to this old gas station that has old cars and gas pumps. There were also some old barns that we found that served as great backgrounds for some of the pictures. All in all, I think our little photo shoot was a success...thanks Mom!
